Numbers 27:18-20

18 So the Lord said to Moses, “Take ^aJoshua the son of Nun, a man ^bin whom is the Spirit, and ^clay your hand on him. 19 Make him stand before Eleazar the priest and all the congregation, and you shall ^dcommission him in their sight. 20 You shall invest him with some of your authority, ^ethat all the congregation of the people of Israel may obey.

Deuteronomy 34:9

9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of ^fthe spirit of wisdom, for ^gMoses had laid his hands on him. So ^hthe people of Israel obeyed him and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.
